Becker Salon Blow Out for Haiti and The American Red Cross, Feb. 14th and 21st, 2010
Greenwich, Ct. Feb. 14th, 2010. Becker Chicaiza, owner of Becker Salon and his staff are supporting The American Red Cross fundraising efforts for Haiti by offering clients a shampoo, haircut and blow dry for $50, with proceeds going to Haiti. These special cuts will take place on Feb. 14th, Valentine's Day and Sunday, Feb 21st. I stopped by the salon this morning at 11am and all of the chairs were full with clients eager to help Haiti and get beautiful while doing so. The staff were dressed in white and wore American Red Cross tags, very appropriate for the cause and for today, Valentine's Day. Becker has been known to help other charitable causes in the past. The devasting earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th has prompted the largest single-country relief operation in global Red Cross history in terms of the number of emergency relief teams deployed. Donations to the International Response Fund can be sent to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013. Online contributions can be made by visiting http://www.redcross.org.
I commend Becker and his staff for their fund raising efforts!
