Yankees Unite for Tornado Relief, Southern Hospitality NYC 8/22/11
Yankees Unite for Tornado Relief at Southern Hospitality, Hell's Kitchen
Monday, August 22nd, New York City. New York Yankees' superstars David Robertson and Nick Swisher, were joined by their wives Erin Robertson and Joanna Garcia to host Yankees Unite for Tornado Relief, a benefit for the victims of the Alabama Tornadoes. The benefit, presented by Anthony Scaramucci SKYBRIDGE Capital and Armand de Brignac, drew a star studded crowd including CC Sabathia, Alex Rodriguez, Boone Logan, Curtis Granderson, Russell Martin, Darryl Strawberry and Bobby Valentine among many others who came out to support the cause. Cindy Adams and various news crews showed up. Friends and family, including Southern Hospitality's owner Eytan Sugarman, packed the barbecue restaurant, taking part in both the live and silent auctions while watching video footage from Robertson's hometown visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama during the aftermath of the tragic tornado strikes.
The Yankee family stays together to support each other. It was nice to see A-Rod out and about, good to know that Russell Martin can DJ and that Nick Swisher can tend bar. Everyone was out of uniform, having fun. I highly recommend the ribs, fried pickles, cole slaw and down home barbecue foods at Southern Hospitality. The Yankees and all enjoyed the southern hospitality shown.
